Creating a Payment method for your ads manager on Facebook

By now you must be well versed with how advertising works on Facebook and how an ad needs to be catered to suit an audience. That however, is just one part to advertising. With all the great ads that come our way, we have to realize that it doesn’t come free nor cheap for that matter, even on Facebook.

You can create some amazing content but never be able to see it receive the likes you wish to see due to an inactive payment method. This is because your post hasn’t been boosted. But that’s about to change. Here’s a step-by-step process on how to establish a working payment method to fund your ads on Facebook. Don’t feel overwhelmed, it’s pretty simple.

Step 1

When logged into your account, head over to the drop down arrow that you use to log out. Once the drop down menu appears, head over to the settings tab.

Once you’ve clicked on settings and the page opens up, you’ll be given a plethora of options. Look to your left and you’ll see a bunch of tabs and options in a list. Follow down that list of tabs and you’ll arrive at an option that reads “payments”. Select it.

Once clicked, you will be treated with a page that will usually say, “No recent payment activity”. From there on, you will see three tabs clearly above titled “payment history” which is the page you’re currently on. The others read, “Account settings” and “Ads billing”. Be sure to select the “Ads billing” tab.

Upon clicking the billing tab, the page will open and in the middle you will see an option asking you to add a payment method. Below that, you will see a link asking you to edit payment methods. Ignore that and click on the add payments feature.step 4

Once clicked, you will be greeted with a pop up asking you to add a payment method. You will be given two options. You can either pay using a credit card or using Facebook Ad coupons. You will also need to select the country that the payment is based out of.step 6

Select the credit card option since it’s the most common of the two payment methods. Once selected, you will be prompted to fill in your credit card details. Once filled, click continue to move forward.

Continue on with the steps that follow. Most of them are security protocols that you’ll need to go through in order for Facebook to verify in terms of authenticity with regards to your bank account. Once that’s approved, rest assured that you’ve completed linking your payment method to your Facebook Ad account.
